Alim Qasimov performed in the music festival in Martigny

On 20 June 2015, an open-air music festival “5 Continents” was held in the Manoir Square of Martigny, Switzerland. Ethno-national music performers invited from five continents of the world acquainted the audience gathered on the square with the folk music, songs and dances.

Alim Qasimov, a mugham singer and People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, was also invited to perform at the festival. He was accompanied by his daughter Fargana Qasimova, also a mugham singer.

The festival which was observed by the audience with great interest, was followed by a workshop by Alim Qasimov for all interested in the secrets of the Azerbaijani mugham.
